Thanksgiving is an Attitude!

by on Nov.24, 2011, under Faith, Family, Gratitude, Love

Brandy and I, here at Latin Fusion Tv, wish you a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!

If you are not from the states, you may not celebrate Thanksgiving, as it is a National Holiday for us in the US, as we celebrate the beginning of a new nation and our national pride.  It was a time of new beginnings for our country, even before it was a country! Which brings me to my point!

Right now, Brandy is undergoing a tough time! Her daughter is in intensive care, or ICU, and on Life Support!  Two days ago she was on the brink of death – today she is breathing at 60%.

What a difference a day makes.  It reminds me to be grateful in all things, both big and small. And in order to do that – I must realize that thanksgiving is more an attitude than just a day.  And while many are waiting for the day after, Black Friday, they are forgetting the reason why we celebrate Thanksgiving in the first place.

That being said, I will spend time with my family, knowing I cannot afford the deals that Black Friday will bring, but I am thankful that we are not suffering through another loss in our life! I am grateful that my brother is here in town, my family will get together, as will Brandy’s (even if it is in the hospital). We will gather and pray for those things that matter! Because we have learned that Thanksgiving is an attitude – not just a day! And there is much to be thankful for!

Thanks for reading, thanks for watching and most of all Thanks for the Prayers!  May God Bless, heal and protect our beloved Diamond Monique!

Have a blessed day and a Happy Thanksgiving!

We love you all!

Dear Mom – Happy Mother’s Day!!!

by on May.07, 2011, under Celebrations, Family, Love

Dear Mom,

I write to you today, a letter, to tell you how much you mean to me and to say: I Love You!

I often sit in thankfulness and blessing realizing how special you really are.  You are kind and compassionate, caring and patient, prayerful and spiritual. You are thoughtful, mindful, playful, and even listen to me and my stories without commenting – until I am finished.  Then you encourage me, support my crazy ideas and always wish the best for m.

You pray for me, you have loved me even when I couldn’t and didn’t love myself.  For that I am grateful!

You have taught compassion and caring with your actions, not just your words.  More importantly, you have taught these attributes to many people, not just your family.

They say Latinos share a different type of love than many other cultures – I do not know if this is true, but the carinoso, cultura and familia that you have shared with us is a blessing.  And again, as a teacher, you taught many about our culture.

You have taught me how to live my life in a loving manner, how to be patient, and even saintly – whether I have done so has always been my choice.  But this letter is about you, not me.

As a mother, you have had to carry, feed, nurture, educate and protect us.  You have done this in a loving manner and without complaint.

You made us feel loved and special, each of us in our own special way.  You support us and our endeavors without question, but instead with love.

Mom, words cannot express what you mean to me and I cannot give you anything that equals the love you have given me.

So I say the following: You are beautiful, cool, hip loving, a great mom, a good sister and a loving daughter.  Our family holds you in high regard making you an excellent role model.

Your actions are worth emulating, your love is worth sharing and your accomplishments are worth noting.  I wish I spent more time with you, learning more about you sharing how much you mean to me.

So, I offer you my sobriety, my love and this letter for the world to see.

I love you Mom – Thanks for being you – I could not have been blessed with a better Mother.

Your Loving Son

P.S.

For all of the mothers out there – you deserve more than one day and love in more than one way – So I say this to you all:  May you find the peace and Blessings of God’s Love this and every day that you live.

For those that no longer have their mother – I sincerely hope and pray that you are peace, get to see Her again and have at least one more chance a the loving hugs only a mother can give.

And just so you know – OUR MOTHER MARY WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!

Take Care, God Bless and Cool Runnings Mon – Michael

It’s Always a New day!

by on Jan.02, 2011, under General Posts

The New Year is here and I am off to a bad start!  My new Year resolution is to get ahead and here I am wishing you a Happy New Year on January 2! I am late and Time is flying by!

But seriously, Happy New Year to all of you.  May you be blessed with health, happiness,  good cheer, prosperous endeavors and great things!

Time is moving quick and sometimes I do not move as fast. There is always much to do and at times I get overwhelmed. And that frustrates me more.

If you are like me and have the same problem (not always, but at times) – do not fret.  Although you can never get back lost time – you can keep the situation from making you rattled.  If you do get rattled with too much to do – there is a way to right yourself and get back to a peaceful calming place to move ahead again.  I have a way out with some suggestions to get your life in order on the fly!

  1. Pray – Prayer always helps;
  2. Start your day over – go into a room and say – Do over!;
  3. Do what is in front of you – it removes you from worry;
  4. Do one thing at a time – multi-tasking is not always the answer;
  5. Finish a small task – it will give you a sense of completion;

And if these five things cannot keep you from your own mind and insanity – here are some tried and true tips to keep you from going totally nuts:

  1. Slow down – maybe you are moving too fast for your own good;
  2. Get out of self – Maybe you are too focused on you;
  3. Help someone else – No better way to get out of self;
  4. Do it Now! – Stop waiting till later – that is why things build up;
  5. Know that this too will Pass!

These are good suggestions, they have helped me and many others.  That is why I share them with you today.  Everyday is a New Day.  Not every day is the New Year – but you can make it a “Now Year!” (I cannot take credit for this one – but I love it and I will use it, because it relates to all I have said!)

Get things done, stop worrying and procrastinating and life will get a little easier.  I promise. It is proven.

You can be a worrier or a warrior! The choice is yours!

So have a good day, a good year and remember – “Every Day is a New Day!”

But for now – Happy New Year – Happy Now Year and and Keep the Faith!

Take Care, God Bless and Cool Runnings Mon! – Michael

PS – Way to go TCU!!! My hats off to the little guy!
