A note to you this Christmas: Say “Thank You!”

by on Dec.17, 2010, under General Posts

Sometimes  it’s  just those words of “Thank You” that you say to some one who has been so dear and kind, in such a gentle way, that makes a difference in their life.

Well, this Christmas, I want to say ” Thank You” to someone very dear to me – someone who has helped me in more ways than one.  We all have that person in our life, don’t we?  When times seem to be so hard and scary, they find a way to lift our spirits.

The integrity as a man that he is; with his wonderful spiritual faith that he carry’s in his heart.  It is a blessing to have him as a dear friend and partner.  I can honestly say that he means well when he tries to help me see things in a positive way.

And it all starts with me if I want to make a difference and am willing to make a change.  It starts with you also – we have to be willing to change.  We cannot want to want to change – we have to be willing to make a change.

I sometimes find it hard to understand, or maybe I am just so stubborn.  I guess I can say that I am just afraid that maybe I will not succeed.  Do you have the same problem?  It is easy to be afraid, and easier not to trust.

Yet, I have to trust the only person who has stood right by my side and believe it when he says:  “Get out there and Fight!”

Through my trials and tribulations and unexpected heartfelt surprises, I have to trust in God – that his plan is for a reason and is one that will get us through our journey.  It is the same with all of us, we have to Trust God.

This is something that Michael has shared with me, and I believe that to be true.  If you ever find a penny – especially when times are tough – Please  read what is written on it: “IN GOD WE TRUST”.  It is a reminder to Trust Him no matter what your situation is.  Please Stop, take the time to hold the penny and say: “Okay God, I trust you!”  IT is a small reminder of great big deal.  Trust me on this, when things are tough – God will put a penny in your path to remind you to Trust Him!    We find pennies all the time and everywhere.

So when times are tough – I must continue to be that women that I have always been: “A women of Faith.”  I must  make that difference for myself, and those that I love, and to Build the Bridge that will lead us to the Top.  But i, nor we, can do it by ourselves.

Michael I want to say “Thank You” for all that you have done and that I am grateful from the bottom of my heart.  I was blessed when God brought a wonderful person like you into my life.  I knew that He would make us partners to share the dreams that once were cloudy to me.  I was lost.  And, I can still remember when I said to myself:  That is a man of integrity.  You have lifted me up and offered so much, but most of all you have changed my life to be better at what I must do to be a better person.  I want to say “Thank You” for being tough with me and in helping me to be strong and not give up on a dream that means the world to me.  God has molded you to be the man he wants you to be, and is why he brought you into my life.

You came and transformed something that I believed in and held on to for so long and gave it life and laughter and gave me the strength to build it better.  It’s because of you that I believe that God makes the Impossible – Possible.  I can only guess it’s the “Faith” that He saw in both of us.  Thank You for wiping my tears of sadness and for giving me tears of joy.  I could never repay you for all the help you have given me, but I can stand up tomorrow and say I am ready to fight the battle that I have struggled with today.  If  God were to take me tonight to live in his kingdom, I would thank him for allowing me to have been a part of yours.

“Thank You Michael – from the bottom of my heart!”  May God Bless you and your family this Christmas and give you the gifts that you deserve.  He has already given me the greatest gift of all, and that gift was when you became my Best friend and partner.

Now – back to you out there in cyberspace, our guests and friends – you either have this person in your life or you are this person in someones life.  If you have someone who has been there for you and stood by you in rough times as well as the good – then stop and say “Thank You!”  If you are a person that keeps people on track, inspires, encourages or is even tough on them when they need it – then I will say: “Thank you!”  It means more than you know.  We all need help, encouragement, empowerment and friends…Let us give thanks or the gift of ourselves  to others this Holiday Season.

It only takes one!* One small act of kindness, one kind word, one right move -  But that is another Christmas article.

I share this with the world, because to me it is very important to share with that special someone, how much you appreciate  them.  It is important to know that words cannot always express our gratitude – but as he will say: “Actions go a lot further.”  Gratitude is an action! Words fall short at times – but Thank you can be said and done in so many ways and to so many people….

So I say to you:   Now it is your turn to go into the world and say thank you to someone who has touched you or go out and touch someone that needs to have their spirit uplifted!  May God Bless you all!

Holiday Season with Angels and Family

by on Dec.15, 2010, under General Posts

Happy Holidays to you and your Family.

As the days get closer to Christmas, I stop and wonder:  What goes on in everyone’s  mind?

People rushing to get holiday shopping done on time and preparing for Christmas Dinner, perhaps holiday party’s with co-workers and exchanging gifts.

I have always enjoyed watching everyone feeling so merry and cheerful when the holidays come around.

It’s funny, because I used to be that person, always wanting to give to my family and even those I didn’t know.  I have always felt that if I was going to have a warm Christmas I wanted other families with children to have the same.

This year has been tough for a lot of us, and perhaps there are some of us that don’t know how to deal with it.

There was a time when I was always able to help others with financial relief and did so without hesitation.

Today it is different, I am unable to give as freely as I used to, yet my holidays will be okay.  I plan to spend this Holiday Season with Angels and Family.

I ask Jesus Christ to surround me  with all his beautiful Angels and with their strong wings to lift me up in spirit, and continue to bring that smile to my face, even when I know times are tough.

I must focus on what the Holidays are about :  It’s preparing me for the Birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas Day.

What I am trying to share with you is that no matter how hard things may seem, when it feels like everything is crumbling around you – you must remember that you are not alone.

You are surrounded by Angels  and they are lifting you up in Spirit.  You can find them all around you if you take the time to see them.

Be thankful for what you have and even for what you don’t have.

I am Thankful for my love for Christ and my Family, and friends that really care.  I love you just like Jesus Christ loves me and Jesus loves you too.

So I say to you: Thank You for all you have done for me, and not allowing me to give up my dreams.  This alone will make my Holiday brighter.

I hope you spend this Holiday Season with Angels and Family, and may it be merry and cheerful.

May your Holiday Season be warm and full of love, and the Greatest Gift you receive is knowing that God makes the impossible – Possible!

Happy Holidays to you and your Family,

Brandy Lopez

Gratitude is an Action!

by on Nov.08, 2010, under Christian, Events, General Posts, Gratitude, Spiritual

Hey everyone – we hope you are doing well. I have been asked to expand on “Thanks is a four letter word!” So here goes!

We were in the United States Military Veterans Day Parade today in San Antonio and I want to share the magnitude of this event for me and how it affects my life.  I was brought to tears with what I saw and able to participate in.

First of all, I want to say thank you to all the men and women out there who have ever served in the military for their country.  I don’t care if you were a good soldier or a bad soldier – it takes sacrifice.  One gives up much to be in the service.  Imagine if we were mandated by government to serve, like some countries.

There were thousands who participated in the parade and thousands more who came to watch the parade.

I am grateful for and proud of the men and women who serve in our military.  The duty and sacrifice is enormous – but those that served during wartime and actually fought in one of our many skirmishes – I have a different type of respect for them.

People involved in conflict are scarred in one way or another – if not scarred, certainly affected.  They have endured man at his worst and maybe even had to be that person that they never dreamed of.  I mean, how would I react to the atrocity of war?  Anyway, I just saw so much today – a people proud to wear their uniform and show their colors – and a people willing to come and say thanks…

That is what I mean by Gratitude is an Action – Actions speak louder than words. So here are my suggestions:

  1. Volunteer – You can always give back by helping someone else who needs it;
  2. Say “Thank you!” – I have posted about this before – it is the nice thing to do;
  3. Pay it forward – Blessings always come back to those that give;
  4. It is better to give than to receive – Trust me, it is true – try it ad see;
  5. “I am sorry” doesn’t always cut it – change the behavior;
  6. If you have the means – help – People need all kinds of help and if you can help, please do it;
  7. There are more ways to help than just giving money – time is help as well as sharing with others what you know how to do;
  8. Do it with a smile – God loves a cheerful giver;
  9. Do not expect anything in return – Nothing is worse than giving with conditions, makes you look like a user; and
  10. Check your motives – See #9, it is important to show your gratitude without ulterior motives – otherwise, it isn’t gratitude.

I’ll tell you what I saw that brought me to tears – I saw men proud to be part of this great country, proud to wear their uniforms and proud to show others that they stood for something (even if they were not appreciated).

But more importantly, I saw a veteran standing on the side of the road as the parade passed and he was thanking everyone as they passed.  He was very sincere.  But then a women that was walking with her group in the parade, left the procession and ran to that man.  She gave him a big hug and said “Thank You!” He and I were shocked. She caught him off guard. It was beautiful!

I didn’t capture it on camera – but I will never forget it.  He meant it and she meant it and that was enough.  The fact that she went out of her way to hug this man was the most memorable part of the day for me.

I know I was touched by the spirit this day, because I was “sentido” the rest of the afternoon.  That is when I know I have been touched by the spirit, when silly movies move me…(That’s another blog topic)!

Anyway, just remember that it doesn’t take that much more to do the right thing and give a little of yourself.  And if you take the road less traveled – traffic is usually light.

Take care, God Bless and Cool Runnings, mon! – Michael Arellano

Blessings are showers of snowflakes!

by on Mar.06, 2010, under General Posts

Do you sometimes wonder why it is that some plans take a little longer than expected to start happening? If you do, then maybe this will help sort things out for you.

I have always realized that it’s not my plan, but God’s.  And sometimes I have to wait on His blessings.  But when He is ready – Boy, He really gives those Blessings.  And to me, these blessing are like showers of snowflakes.  I have come to realize that God covers our dreams and they become reality.  Before this happens, I have to do a few things:

  1. Pray;
  2. Always ask God to be my voice and their ears; and
  3. Learn to walk by Faith and not by Sight!

When I talk about Showers of Snowflakes, it’s not just about what God will give us, but it also about who He brings into our life.  And I can honestly say that this week  I was showered with snowflakes.  From one meeting to the next, God was there, and the relationships that were being built was all a part of his plan.

It’s amazing how people you’ve just met, can become a part of your solid foundation.  When you share the same ideas you are creating a greater vision! Know at that moment that it’s by the Grace of God that wonderful things happen when they do and Again, I say, it’s in His time and not mine.

That is what happened this week.  God showered us with his Blessings. After the blessings, all I could think about was what can we do now to help someone else with their business. Because the Blessings that God gives should be shared and used to open doors for others.

I am Thankful  and very grateful for you, our viewers and readers, for just taking the time – even if it’s just for a minute – to allow us to share with you our vision and shower you with the Abundance of snowflakes that God has sent to us, so that you may also receive the Blessings.

A warm hello to our troops around the world and our 25 countries who visit our website.  God Bless each and everyone of you and your Families.
