HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

by on May.05, 2013, under Celebrations, Culture, Events, Family, Health

Hello Everyone! And to all the Mother’s out there – HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

Well, Fiesta has come and gone, I hope you had fun and were safe.  I enjoyed making Royal Appearances as the SA Riverwalk Princess. I didn’t do too much, but what I did was special.

I was blessed to be part of the South West ISD 2nd Annual Special Olympics. To watch these incredible students participate in their sports activities was amazing. If you are of sound health and mind, do not take it for granted – these participants have overcome so many challenges that it makes me appreciate what gifts God has given me. They are gifted in so many ways and they are beautiful gifts from God!

Also, I participated in this year’s Texas Cavalier’s River Parade. Grammy Award winner “Little Joe” and KENS 5 Great Day SA TV personality, Eileen Teves were on the float. What a blast!

NIOSA is always fun! We ran into old friends and made new ones. As always, there were tasty foods and cold beverages!

N.E. Methodist Hospital had their Inaugural Fiesta Shoe Box Float Contest. I was one of the judges.  Being a judge is fun, but it is hard to choose winners. To me, all the participants were Winners and the floats were cute! Great Job!

Another one of my exciting endeavors was to be part of the production team for Daniel Baldwin’s  Film project “Wisdom.” Working with everyone on the set was a wonderful experience. What makes a set great is a strong team. When we all come together and help each other out by working together, especially with clear communication, things seem to flow better.

Daniel is fun to be around – he really enjoys a good laugh. And if he sees that someone needs help, he is ready to lend a helping hand or just listen. You can see his kindness when he welcomes you, and he makes you feel right at home. I instantly felt like one of the family.  He takes his project’s serious. He is a true professional and he taught us all a lot.

I am glad that I was able to help as much as I did. I have been nicknamed “Google Brandy!”

I see great things happening within the film industry.  My greatest hope is that we continue to help each other, work together and give our local talent the opportunity to showcase our talents. God has blessed us with so much. Now it is time to put it all together.

I learned so much working behind the scenes. It takes hours of hard work, time, effort and patience. “Thank You, God” for giving me the opportunity to be part of a film project that shares a message of hope and may save someone’s life.  “Thank You” Daniel and Veronica!

Special Thanks to everyone who sponsored delicious catering to the film cast and crew: Suzette Thomas and Ann; Arizona Cafe /Linda and Eddie Bocanegra; La Madeline; Wal-Mart/ Robert Romo; HEB/ Melinda Zepeda; Bernard’s Creole Kitchen and Independent Functions.

The Wrap Party was very nice. Everyone enjoyed the evening with great Bar-B-Q provided by Lydia and her Husband Dr. Robert Spencer. Daniel surprised us all with an awesome fireworks display by the lake.

So what’s next you ask? On May 18th I will be judging at the La Vernia’s 35th Annual Blue Bonnet Parade floats. I look forward to lots of fun at the Festival. After all, we are celebrating the Bluebonnet Fest – our State Flower! Thank You to La Vernia’s Lions Club! Please support!

Other than that, I move on to my next project. I can’t share it at this time but it will be great!

Now, what really makes May Special? Mother’s Day, of course!

I Thank You God for my beautiful mom, who is always waiting with open arms and lots of love for all of us. My mom not only has a loving heart for her children and grandchildren, but one that is big enough for an entire Army!

Thank You God for blessing me with a heart like my mom and my Grandmother, who both are “Angelita’s”i in my life.

Para Toda La Madrecita’s  “Feliz Dia De Las Madres” Que Dios Las Bendiga Siempre!

So for now it’s a WRAP! So continue to “Walk By Faith And Not By Sight” – Brandy Lopez

But first, I want to thank you all for your prayers last year as my family and I went through a difficult time in our life.  We almost lost our daughter Diamond due to illness. (continue reading…)

Diamond “Twinkle In The Sky”

by on Dec.31, 2011, under Christian, Faith, Fear, General Posts, Gratitude, Health, Love, Spiritual

Happy New Year to everyone!

My this year be a prosperous year for you and all your endeavors and your Dreams.

This year I have decided not to make a New Years resolution, but to actually move forward with what God has Blessed me with.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for all your prayers this last year as my family and I went through the most difficult time in our life, when we almost lost our Daughter Diamond during Thanksgiving.  If you do not know about this – she was on 100% life support and not expected to make it through Thanksgiving!

When asked who would make the final decision – if need be – I knew in my heart that it would not be me – it would be Jesus Christ.

As I stepped outside of the ER that evening to pray, I saw the the Twinkle in the Sky that brought back a beautiful sweet memory of my Princess Diamond when she was two years old.  She and I would sing” Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!”   Her favorite phrase was “Like a Diamond in The Sky” and she would say I am looking at you!

It was at that moment that God was saying: “I am looking over her as I am healing her back to life!”

Today, I am happy to say that after three weeks in the hospital and on Life support, our daughter is walking, talking and eating like you wouldn’t believe – and we love it!

But, we have to extend our Thanks to all of you for all your support and Love.

We should never take those that we love for Granted or say something that we may never be able to take back – especially if  God chooses to take them from us at any given moment!  When you invite someone into your own life treat them like they matter, like they are family!  That is one thing that I was raised and taught and I plan to have my children do the same. We may not always be perfect in each others eyes , but we definitely are in Gods eyes.

We have been Blessed with three beautiful children that are all grown up today, but to dad and myself they will always be our babies.

They each have a twinkle in the Sky that is as bright as a star and shines like a Diamond.

When you look at your loved ones Imagine that and give thanks to Jesus Christ for all the Blessings he has given you when it comes to Family and Friends.

This New Year I have no new years resolution as for many years everyone seems to make them yet there are those of us who never keep them, yes I am guilty!

The Blessings that God has given me this past year as he prepared me for the New Year!  I promise not to take for Granted  but to make it a priority, “my Priority!”.

I will reach for that Twinkle in The Sky, set my Goals and make them reality.  If you ask what is it that you want to do and how do you plan to do it, my answer is this: “I don’t have that answer, therefore I will not answer, but I can only trust in God and Walk with Faith! If you believe in me like you say you do then I pray for your patience, your faith and your support!”

This I can say: God has answered great prayers this  past year and one was healing my daughter and He has opened my vision to a New Beginning of real success!

I am sure 2011 was a tough year for a lot of us,  some of us had to deal with financial set backs, Health problems, and I am sure other personal issues.

This I will say why not join forces and make a real difference in our lives and set goals and make them happen.

We sometimes let the enemy take over and he will try and sneak up on those of us that are weak. I know because it has happen to me 2011 was not a  very year good for myself  The fears just got deeper and I became weak that I allowed it to happen.

God has let me know as the year almost ended that he has great plans for us by opening wonderful opportunities.

I am very happy and proud to say that Michael was blessed with an opportunity and he made it happen.

I received an email from a person out of state and is now a client and is blogging on our website  Blog, so with that said I have come to realize that no matter what I think or feel I should not Fear or be insecure I have to open my heart and soul and listen when I am being assured and  told the truth.

I have felt so lost and felt like I was going in different directions with me creating no direction for myself or my show.

My fear was that I would give it all I have and really make it happen and some where down the road  along with everything else that I love and care about would vanish.

I may have been my own enemy thinking these crazy thoughts, but today in time it is some times hard for me to trust, others may not understand but I have given in my time and shared with a kind heart and when not expecting it a bomb would hit, I know I have been told many times that life and we have to keep going. But  that alone would be enough to scare anyone as it has scared me.

Yet 2012 will be different I want to share with you that Latin Fusion TV will succeed and it may not just be just Latin Fusion TV but I will be looking at an even Greater picture I may not have all the answers or the logistics but I know that they are there where God has put them in my sight.

I support you with all your Goals and Endeavors for the New Year  and ask that you please continue to support me.

I may have created  Tejano Classic TV and gave it a new name LFTV but I did not make it happen on my own.

After going thru so many obstacles I have to  say thank You  to Independent Functions who is the strong power and mind behind  LFTV and it’s website are today.

That is the power of  “If” as it’s slogan says I can’t get what I want unless I help others get what they need.

This is proven to be very true and I am very grateful although I may not show it I know what my Heart feels.

Thank You Michael Arellano for your real believes in what a dream or  goal can really become reality.

You are that Twinkle in the Sky!

I am sorry for my actions and for saying I am just me.

I am not just me I am a person, who can make a difference if I just let thinks be..

I hope that those of you reading my article will learn by may mistakes and never give up  on what God has blessed you with.

2012 will bring out the the Eye of the Tiger that will add that twinkle in my eyes and if I plan to shine and work hard  for our business I hope you do the same.

Nothing or no one can ever take that away.

Happy New Year my dear friends and remember to hold on to each other and never let go that is just what the enemy wants as I have heard this many times.

Continue to smile like you have always done even if there was a time you felt it was gone, it has always been there, the enemy just tried to take control and today I found my smile again.

Take a Moment… to Reflect

by on Sep.20, 2011, under Faith, Health, Spiritual

Take a Moment by Brandy Lopez

Hello everyone. Summer will be gone and Fall will soon be here.  I already feel the cool breeze flowing in my face. With the breeze comes seasonal change, and with change comes a time of reflection.

We all go through change and doubt and sometimes our faith gets strained.  But it’s amazing how things fall into place even when we lacked the faith to believe that everything God hands us would turn out beautiful.  And if things come out ok, why is it that we still get discouraged?

I am a very positive person and I want projects and plans to work in my favor.  But with all that is going on, there are times when I feel lost, and nothing I say or do seems to make any sense – especially when I am overwhelmed.

There are times when I feel sad.  I want to do so much to help others and do the right things that

God wants me to do, but sometimes I feel that no matter how hard I try to change, to look at things differently or to help others – it is never enough!

We work to make things better, we do the best we can and try to be the way God wants us to be.  We work hard to help others, and at times things don’t go as planned, but we keep helping.

And we hear this from you too – that it is disappointing, because when we ask for help or support – the help or response doesn’t come.

I have to ask God, why are things the way they are? Why are people like that? Why am I struggling?  Why are we all struggling?

That is when I stop what I am doing and ask God for advice.  This is when he lets me know that I just need a “Moment” with Him. To me, I call it a Moment in Time while others may say that they need some time! But we all need to “Take a moment.”

It is important to take a moment and reflect on your priorities, blessings, struggles, gifts and challenges.  Because the enemy never sleeps, it is easy to get caught up in the struggle.  But it is necessary to reflect on both the positive and negative in your life, the trials and triumphs.

God blessed me with my vision of Latin Fusion Tv and the ability to do something with it.  It has been a struggle, but He only gives me what he knows I can handle.  And recently, he has given me a handful.  And it has been tough.

But I look around and see God’s blessings and realize how lucky I am to have such wonderful people in my life. I look at those that have crossed my path and stayed for a while and I realize that everyday of our life should be treasured and loved.

We never know what God has planned for us, but I do know that when you take a moment – He will speak to your heart and then you will feel joy and find your own moment of peace.

Take a moment to say thank you to those that are there for you and support you through good times and bad, let them know you are grateful; appreciate and respect them for all they do.

Always respect others as you want to be respected; never take life and love for granted and smile like there is no tomorrow. Learn from your mistakes, wipe away your tears and move forward.

Feel God’s blessings, share them with others and help those that need it. Be careful of those that are always asking and give nothing in return.  Take a Moment to reflect on God’s gifts.

And remember, God will give you strength when you need it.

To the students out there – have fun and enjoy the school year; keep up the great work because you are our future leaders.  And remember: “With Great Risk comes Great Reward!”

A special thanks to all that support the new SouthTown Charter Lions Club. Let’s work together to build a better community. Together Everyone Achieves More!

Finally, congratulations to all the nominees and winners of the 31st Tejano Music Awards!

This is my moment in time with you!

Till Next Time – God Bless you!

And remember to “Walk By Faith And Not By Sight” – Brandy

Happy Birthday Jesus!

by on Dec.28, 2009, under Christian, Events, Faith, Health, Love, Spiritual

Today is the birthday of our Lord and Saviour! At least for us Christians.  Today is a day that we need to reflect the birth of Jesus as well as the faith of a young girl and the strength of resolve of a young father.  It is about acceptance, denial, judgment, fear and just doing the right thing.

This could be complicated and convoluted but it doesn’t have to be.  I just have to accept Jesus as my Lord and my life takes on a whole new meaning.  Where I once had no hope – I now have hope.  I deny some of my old ways and use God – Who strengthens me – to be my Guidance, Counselor, Father and friend – but One I revere and rely upon for assistance in tough times.

Some will judge me for my beliefs and what I write and I sometimes fear this – but I have to do the right thing and stand true to my principles and beliefs.  That is me, but what about the Holy Family? The Apostles, Jesus and God?

Joseph and Mary had to go through so much to get to Bethlehem (remember they were on the lamb), they had to explain that they had not had relations before marriage, got denied entrance to any of the Inns (there was no room in the Inn). Is it much different today – do I have room for God or Jesus in my life? People judged Jesus when He began his ministry (isn’t He the carpenter’s son?)  and didn’t the apostle Peter fear for his life when asked if he knew Jesus the night they put Jesus to trial?

But in the end – who does the right thing?  or even more, what is the right thing?  Well I don’t know – but I know it has to do with Faith, Hope and Love.  And these are things that I still struggle with but it doesn’t keep me from trying to do my best.

So on the birthday of my Lord and Savior, I begin anew again, like a baby learning to love, have faith and in that – I gain Hope – Hope in a new tomorrow and the strength to walk with the Lord to a better life, regardless of my circumstances.  But I don’t know much – so I guess i just want to say: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and to my Lord – Happy Birthday Jesus – I love and thank you for my new life, my blessings and my family!

May God Bless you all!

Michael
