In Memorium on Memorial Day!

by on May.28, 2012, under Celebrations, Faith, General Posts, Gratitude, Love, Spiritual

I had to share this on this Memorial Day! This is why I am proud to be an American and a Christian! May God Bless our troops, their families and you and yours!

A fallen Marine’s letter to his family

I had not planned to write an essay on this holiday, but I just read a story that touched me so deeply I felt prompted to share it with you.  U.S. Marine Sgt. William Stacey was killed earlier this year in Afghanistan.  The 23-year-old wrote a letter to his family explaining why he was fighting, to be read in the event of his death.  Marine Gen. John Allen, the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, read the letter during a Memorial Day service today in Kabul.

Sgt. Stacey wrote: “There will be a child who will live because men left the security they enjoyed in their home to come to his.  He will have the gift of freedom which I have enjoyed for so long myself, and if my life brings the safety of a child who will one day change the world, then I know that it was worth it all.”

Today we remember 1.3 million men and women who died so we could live.  Each of them left the security of their homes to defend ours.  They paid the ultimate price (continue reading…)

Three Trees – worth the read!

by on Mar.11, 2012, under Christian, Faith, Gratitude, Spiritual

Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said, ‘Someday I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty.’

Then the second tree said, ‘Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will take Kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the strength of my hull.’

Finally the third tree said, ‘I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest Tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me.’

After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees. When one came to the first tree he said, ‘This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter, ‘and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest.

At the second tree the woodsman said, ‘This looks like a strong tree. I should be able to sell it to the shipyard.’ The second tree was happy Because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.

When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened because he knew that if they cut him down his dreams would not come true. One of the woodsmen said, ‘I don’t need anything special from my tree, I’ll take this one,’ and he cut it down.

 When the first tree arrived at the carpenters, he was made into a feed box for animals. He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for.

The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end.

The third tree was cut into large pieces, and left alone in the dark.

The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams.

Then one day, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time.

Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn’t think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke the sleeping man, and He stood and said ‘Peace’ and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.

Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it. When they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible,

because Jesus had been crucified on it.

The moral of this story is that when things don’t seem to be going your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your trust in Him, God will give you great gifts.

Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined.

We don’t always know what God’s plans are for us. We just know that His Ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.

May your day be blessed. And until we meet again, may God cradle you in the palm of His hand.

Diamond “Twinkle In The Sky”

by on Dec.31, 2011, under Christian, Faith, Fear, General Posts, Gratitude, Health, Love, Spiritual

Happy New Year to everyone!

My this year be a prosperous year for you and all your endeavors and your Dreams.

This year I have decided not to make a New Years resolution, but to actually move forward with what God has Blessed me with.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for all your prayers this last year as my family and I went through the most difficult time in our life, when we almost lost our Daughter Diamond during Thanksgiving.  If you do not know about this – she was on 100% life support and not expected to make it through Thanksgiving!

When asked who would make the final decision – if need be – I knew in my heart that it would not be me – it would be Jesus Christ.

As I stepped outside of the ER that evening to pray, I saw the the Twinkle in the Sky that brought back a beautiful sweet memory of my Princess Diamond when she was two years old.  She and I would sing” Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!”   Her favorite phrase was “Like a Diamond in The Sky” and she would say I am looking at you!

It was at that moment that God was saying: “I am looking over her as I am healing her back to life!”

Today, I am happy to say that after three weeks in the hospital and on Life support, our daughter is walking, talking and eating like you wouldn’t believe – and we love it!

But, we have to extend our Thanks to all of you for all your support and Love.

We should never take those that we love for Granted or say something that we may never be able to take back – especially if  God chooses to take them from us at any given moment!  When you invite someone into your own life treat them like they matter, like they are family!  That is one thing that I was raised and taught and I plan to have my children do the same. We may not always be perfect in each others eyes , but we definitely are in Gods eyes.

We have been Blessed with three beautiful children that are all grown up today, but to dad and myself they will always be our babies.

They each have a twinkle in the Sky that is as bright as a star and shines like a Diamond.

When you look at your loved ones Imagine that and give thanks to Jesus Christ for all the Blessings he has given you when it comes to Family and Friends.

This New Year I have no new years resolution as for many years everyone seems to make them yet there are those of us who never keep them, yes I am guilty!

The Blessings that God has given me this past year as he prepared me for the New Year!  I promise not to take for Granted  but to make it a priority, “my Priority!”.

I will reach for that Twinkle in The Sky, set my Goals and make them reality.  If you ask what is it that you want to do and how do you plan to do it, my answer is this: “I don’t have that answer, therefore I will not answer, but I can only trust in God and Walk with Faith! If you believe in me like you say you do then I pray for your patience, your faith and your support!”

This I can say: God has answered great prayers this  past year and one was healing my daughter and He has opened my vision to a New Beginning of real success!

I am sure 2011 was a tough year for a lot of us,  some of us had to deal with financial set backs, Health problems, and I am sure other personal issues.

This I will say why not join forces and make a real difference in our lives and set goals and make them happen.

We sometimes let the enemy take over and he will try and sneak up on those of us that are weak. I know because it has happen to me 2011 was not a  very year good for myself  The fears just got deeper and I became weak that I allowed it to happen.

God has let me know as the year almost ended that he has great plans for us by opening wonderful opportunities.

I am very happy and proud to say that Michael was blessed with an opportunity and he made it happen.

I received an email from a person out of state and is now a client and is blogging on our website  Blog, so with that said I have come to realize that no matter what I think or feel I should not Fear or be insecure I have to open my heart and soul and listen when I am being assured and  told the truth.

I have felt so lost and felt like I was going in different directions with me creating no direction for myself or my show.

My fear was that I would give it all I have and really make it happen and some where down the road  along with everything else that I love and care about would vanish.

I may have been my own enemy thinking these crazy thoughts, but today in time it is some times hard for me to trust, others may not understand but I have given in my time and shared with a kind heart and when not expecting it a bomb would hit, I know I have been told many times that life and we have to keep going. But  that alone would be enough to scare anyone as it has scared me.

Yet 2012 will be different I want to share with you that Latin Fusion TV will succeed and it may not just be just Latin Fusion TV but I will be looking at an even Greater picture I may not have all the answers or the logistics but I know that they are there where God has put them in my sight.

I support you with all your Goals and Endeavors for the New Year  and ask that you please continue to support me.

I may have created  Tejano Classic TV and gave it a new name LFTV but I did not make it happen on my own.

After going thru so many obstacles I have to  say thank You  to Independent Functions who is the strong power and mind behind  LFTV and it’s website are today.

That is the power of  “If” as it’s slogan says I can’t get what I want unless I help others get what they need.

This is proven to be very true and I am very grateful although I may not show it I know what my Heart feels.

Thank You Michael Arellano for your real believes in what a dream or  goal can really become reality.

You are that Twinkle in the Sky!

I am sorry for my actions and for saying I am just me.

I am not just me I am a person, who can make a difference if I just let thinks be..

I hope that those of you reading my article will learn by may mistakes and never give up  on what God has blessed you with.

2012 will bring out the the Eye of the Tiger that will add that twinkle in my eyes and if I plan to shine and work hard  for our business I hope you do the same.

Nothing or no one can ever take that away.

Happy New Year my dear friends and remember to hold on to each other and never let go that is just what the enemy wants as I have heard this many times.

Continue to smile like you have always done even if there was a time you felt it was gone, it has always been there, the enemy just tried to take control and today I found my smile again.

May God Bless You and continue to Walk by Faith and Not by Sight!

Thanksgiving is an Attitude!

by on Nov.24, 2011, under Faith, Family, Gratitude, Love

Brandy and I, here at Latin Fusion Tv, wish you a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!

If you are not from the states, you may not celebrate Thanksgiving, as it is a National Holiday for us in the US, as we celebrate the beginning of a new nation and our national pride.  It was a time of new beginnings for our country, even before it was a country! Which brings me to my point!

Right now, Brandy is undergoing a tough time! Her daughter is in intensive care, or ICU, and on Life Support!  Two days ago she was on the brink of death – today she is breathing at 60%.

What a difference a day makes.  It reminds me to be grateful in all things, both big and small. And in order to do that – I must realize that thanksgiving is more an attitude than just a day.  And while many are waiting for the day after, Black Friday, they are forgetting the reason why we celebrate Thanksgiving in the first place.

That being said, I will spend time with my family, knowing I cannot afford the deals that Black Friday will bring, but I am thankful that we are not suffering through another loss in our life! I am grateful that my brother is here in town, my family will get together, as will Brandy’s (even if it is in the hospital). We will gather and pray for those things that matter! Because we have learned that Thanksgiving is an attitude – not just a day! And there is much to be thankful for!

Thanks for reading, thanks for watching and most of all Thanks for the Prayers!  May God Bless, heal and protect our beloved Diamond Monique!

Have a blessed day and a Happy Thanksgiving!

We love you all!

Fill Your Heart with Laughter!

by on Aug.04, 2011, under Faith, Gratitude, Spiritual

What a hot summer it has been, and we are just getting into August!  I hope everyone is finding ways to stay nice and cool.

In the last few months, I have written about Determination, Motivation, Keeping the Faith, Dream-Ability and Gaining Strength.  I write about these topics because I know they do not just affect me, these topics relate to all of us and I know, at times, we all need strength, motivation and determination.  And as we inch toward our goals we need to maintain momentum so we don’t lose ground.

But what do we do to maintain that momentum as our strength builds and we find ways to motivate ourselves.  What is the next piece of the puzzle?

Well, I think I have a suggestion that might work, and help us get through life a little bit easier.

What we can do is keep laughter in our hearts, especially in moments when things seem to get a little rough.

I find laughter to be both wonderful and therapeutic and I use it as a method to keep me uplifted when things seem to become a bit hectic or overwhelming.  Laughter is the best medicine.

I will use my family as an example, and I am referring to my immediate family.  When we get together at my parents house or wherever we may be, we can spend the whole evening (or day) laughing, and enjoying each others company.  We know we should be serious ourselves, but we find it very rewarding when our hearts and time is filled with laughter.

Speaking for myself, I find it very important to fill my heart with laughter.  Through the years, I have come across people that can be cold, rude and even selfish.  They will smile but have no meaning behind it and even be false in their fake joy.  Deep down inside, I feel they are angry about something in their lives.

I could never understand why they are like that. I still have trouble at times understanding this but it wasn’t until I stopped and looked at myself and wondered why I didn’t have laughter in my heart.

I guess it must be the everyday life we must face that are filled with both trials and triumphs, stress and the fear of what is next.

Although we all have our own issues in life, and challenges we must face – I feel we could deal with them a little better if we first fill our hearts with laughter.  This is easier said than done, but it is better than getting impatient or becoming angry, because these two ways create more problems rather than solving them.

I will not say this is easy, because it is not, not even for me!

But, when we fill our hearts with laughter, it shows.  Others see it and it makes them want to be around you more.  No one likes a sour-puss or likes to be around someone who sulks or is angry all the time.  And I have found that people that laugh are not as fake as people that do not have laughter in their hearts.

Laughter brings joy and joy brings happiness.  And this way of being makes people want to be around you because you may be uplifting them without even knowing it.  Your laughter and joy can and will help others that may be going through some tough times themselves.

And Laughter helps us forget the trials we may be facing.  Trials will always be there, but we do not have to let it victimize us – we can instead be the victor, by showing up in a good mood and a heart filled with laughter!

It is better than any letdown or disappointments we may be facing and it will help others get through the letdowns and disappointments they may be encountering.

After all, our true gift from God is our heart – and what a better gift to give someone else is your heart – filled with Laughter!

So I recommend that you find what makes you laugh in life and then pursue it as best you can.  Learn some jokes, watch funny movies, find your favorite sit-com then Fill your heart with laughter!

I have always enjoyed a good laugh, so if you see me in the street, stop me and let’s enjoy a good laugh together!

Because my manager is a sourpuss and he is not funny! I call him the Latino Larry David and Boy, does he know how to Curb Your Enthusiasm!!  See I Made you laugh!

Until next time: “Walk by Faith and Not by Sight!” – Brandy

Celebrate Dad and Father – there is no Difference!

by on Jun.19, 2011, under Christian, Culture, Family, Gratitude, Love, Spiritual

Today is the day that we celebrate the Fathers in the world! Including God our Father!

Children and mothers in the world know that any man can be a dad but not every man can be, or is, a father. I understand this, because I have a son and a daughter, and have been a dad to one and a father to the other.

Today is different – although I am not as close to one as I am to the other – I love them both dearly and If I could change the past I would do many things differently, but I would never change the fact that I have two Beautiful children.  I Love them both equally and dearly!!! (continue reading…)

Memorial Day – More than death at war!

by on May.30, 2011, under Celebrations, Events, Gratitude, Love, Spiritual

In the United States we celebrate Memorial Day, honoring all of those that have died in any war while serving our country.  It is the ultimate sacrifice for country and it is deserving of our respect and thanks.

To all those that have died during a war – I pray and salute you for your service and sacrifice and offer prayers and thankfulness to your families.

Moreover, all that have died while serving our country whether it is called a war or not – you deserve the honor and respect given this day!

But their is more to honor on this day than those who died during war.  There are those that lived through the horrors of war and have died in other ways.  We are talking about the death of innocence, death of spirit and death of faith in God and fellow man.

The horrors of war are (continue reading…)

Gratitude is an Action!

by on Nov.08, 2010, under Christian, Events, General Posts, Gratitude, Spiritual

Hey everyone – we hope you are doing well. I have been asked to expand on “Thanks is a four letter word!” So here goes!

We were in the United States Military Veterans Day Parade today in San Antonio and I want to share the magnitude of this event for me and how it affects my life.  I was brought to tears with what I saw and able to participate in.

First of all, I want to say thank you to all the men and women out there who have ever served in the military for their country.  I don’t care if you were a good soldier or a bad soldier – it takes sacrifice.  One gives up much to be in the service.  Imagine if we were mandated by government to serve, like some countries.

There were thousands who participated in the parade and thousands more who came to watch the parade.

I am grateful for and proud of the men and women who serve in our military.  The duty and sacrifice is enormous – but those that served during wartime and actually fought in one of our many skirmishes – I have a different type of respect for them.

People involved in conflict are scarred in one way or another – if not scarred, certainly affected.  They have endured man at his worst and maybe even had to be that person that they never dreamed of.  I mean, how would I react to the atrocity of war?  Anyway, I just saw so much today – a people proud to wear their uniform and show their colors – and a people willing to come and say thanks…

That is what I mean by Gratitude is an Action – Actions speak louder than words. So here are my suggestions:

  1. Volunteer – You can always give back by helping someone else who needs it;
  2. Say “Thank you!” – I have posted about this before – it is the nice thing to do;
  3. Pay it forward – Blessings always come back to those that give;
  4. It is better to give than to receive – Trust me, it is true – try it ad see;
  5. “I am sorry” doesn’t always cut it – change the behavior;
  6. If you have the means – help – People need all kinds of help and if you can help, please do it;
  7. There are more ways to help than just giving money – time is help as well as sharing with others what you know how to do;
  8. Do it with a smile – God loves a cheerful giver;
  9. Do not expect anything in return – Nothing is worse than giving with conditions, makes you look like a user; and
  10. Check your motives – See #9, it is important to show your gratitude without ulterior motives – otherwise, it isn’t gratitude.

I’ll tell you what I saw that brought me to tears – I saw men proud to be part of this great country, proud to wear their uniforms and proud to show others that they stood for something (even if they were not appreciated).

But more importantly, I saw a veteran standing on the side of the road as the parade passed and he was thanking everyone as they passed.  He was very sincere.  But then a women that was walking with her group in the parade, left the procession and ran to that man.  She gave him a big hug and said “Thank You!” He and I were shocked. She caught him off guard. It was beautiful!

I didn’t capture it on camera – but I will never forget it.  He meant it and she meant it and that was enough.  The fact that she went out of her way to hug this man was the most memorable part of the day for me.

I know I was touched by the spirit this day, because I was “sentido” the rest of the afternoon.  That is when I know I have been touched by the spirit, when silly movies move me…(That’s another blog topic)!

Anyway, just remember that it doesn’t take that much more to do the right thing and give a little of yourself.  And if you take the road less traveled – traffic is usually light.

Take care, God Bless and Cool Runnings, mon! – Michael Arellano
